A Year 12 student at Hobart College when she starred in The Room at the Top of the Stairs, her first film role, Fiannah has been studying drama for several years and has appeared in numerous school productions. She has also worked as a model, radio presenter and in commercials and corporate videos. "I absolutely loved working on the set of this film,' says Fiannah. "It was a huge challenge but being involved with such a creative and supportive team allowed me to learn heaps.' Fiannah has started an arts degree in Melbourne, where she now lives.
Like Fiannah, Kate has appeared in numerous school productions but The Room at the Top of the Stairs is her first professional role and her first film. Kate, who is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts and Law at the University of Tasmania, says 'Working on this film was an amazing opportunity. To work on such a great production was an experience I will never forget.'
A graduate of the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, Lucy's theatre credits include Miss Saigon, Twelfth Night, Aspects of Love, Back to the 80s and Keating! for the Old Nick theatre company. Lucy has appeared as a soloist for the Southern Gospel Choir and in 2007 was awarded the Musician's Union Theatre Music Prize for her vocal performance at the Hobart Eisteddford. She has also worked as a voiceover artist for promotional DVDs. 'This was my first opportunity to work on film and it was a great experience,' says Lucy.
Since completing her studies in drama and music, Bryony has performed for companies including the Tasmanian Theatre Company, Big Monkey Productions and Shouting in the Evening. The Room at the Top of the Stairs marks her first foray into film acting. Since the shoot, she has performed for international film companies, in advertising campaigns and for corporate functions. Bryony is keen to develop a long-term career in the creative and exciting world of filmmaking.
Ben debuted in Hobart theatre at the age of 12 and has been performing ever since. He has featured in television commercials, radio, short films including Priceless (2008), Apple Head (2010), several Christmas patomimes and more musicals than you can poke a stick at. His most memorable appearances include principal roles in Les Miserables, Cats (Exit Left, 2007) and High School Musical (Exit Left, 2009) alongisde Australian legend Debra Byrne. Ben relishes the opporutnity to advance his film experience with his involvement in The Room at the Top of the Stairs.
